Creativity in Harmony with Creative Intelligence
The ability to generate novel and interesting ideas is defined by professor Sternberg as “Creative Intelligence”: -
  • Creative intelligence: your ability to generate novel and interesting ideas must be combined with
  • Analytical intelligence: your ability to analyse and evaluate ideas, and
  • Practical intelligence, your ability to take an idea and turn it into a practical accomplishment.
At APEC your supervisor works with you and your Success EQ to develop higher self-esteem as the foundation of your character. You will experience new ideas and ways to express your creativity. Your writing will be a means to express your original ideas, thoughts and creativity. Degree-Centred-Learning
APEC will not ask you to study any set-subjects or texts that are not relevant to your chosen field of study, or expertise you seek. You will determine your program with support, so as to customise the curriculum that is relevant to your degree / masters program. You will be supported in a professional, timely and efficient way so that you attain your professional and personal goals, including high income, lifestyle and reputation.

Oxford University tutorial system
You will complete your degree at your pace, to your schedule as your are introduced to the APEC’s proven and internationally reputed Oxford University tutorial system using self-paced, independent study that is APEC’s edition of the Oxford University tutorial system. APEC uses the established method of Oxford combined with up-to-date tools, including Success EQ, email and the Internet. The APEC degree-centred-learning system gives you the complete freedom of the Internet to succeed in your Degree, from any location on the Earth.  


No Deadlines
There is no time deadline for you to finish your degree. Your timetable is flexible, giving you the option to study as work and family commitments arise.


Credits for Bachelor Degree, BA, BBA, BS, and Master's Combination Programs


To be awarded: -
  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
  • Bachelor of Liberal Arts (BLA)
  • Bachelor of Arts (BA)
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) or
  • Bachelor of Liberal Arts in Business (BLAB)
Requires 120 credits: -
  • You can have up to 105 credits as transfers from studies that you completed at other universities or colleges.
  • You can earn up to 90 credits earned by documenting what you have learned from: -
    • Your work, or career
    • Your non-work experience, or
    • Non-degree learning activities you may have undertaken or that take place during the time of your coursework at APEC

You must earn a minimum of 15 credits by completing your APEC courses.


You do not require a Major for the Bachelor’s Degree
You do not require a Major for your Bachelor's degree. If you choose a major in your Bachelor's program you must earn 20 credits in one of the areas listed on the Major’s and Customising Your Course page. Also, see “Degree Courses“ below, or in an area of your choice, or speciality. You can elect to have more than one major. You may elect to have a minor if you earn 12 credits in an area.


You can Combine a Bachelor’s and Master’s into 1 Program
Please contact the university for details on how to combine your Bachelor's and Master's into one program.


Degree Course Credits
Each APEC’s course is generally for 2 credits, however your supervisor may grant more than 2 credits when the paper submitted is of outstanding quality and there has been far greater time than the guideline time per credit invested.


Grades
Your supervisor will evaluate your course papers etc., for credit transfer on a point grade basis from 1 to 4. You must earn a grade of 2 or above to receive credit for that course. If you receive a 1 or a 2 in a course, you can request your supervisor for you to additional work to bring your grade up.


There are no exam requirements as grades are based on your course papers
You can submit other studies for transfer credits that include your life, work experience and major written projects. You can earn credits from your work and life experiences by writing one or more autobiographical papers about what you have done and what you have learned. Papers or book chapters for this type of custom course can be by you, about your life and work experiences, or you can discuss your experience in relation to a particular subject area with your supervisor.

To learn how to write autobiographical papers, “Quality and Me”, professor Philip Crosby is a good example of how to write a paper that demonstrates what you have learned from your life and work experiences.


There is no Time Limit for finishing your Degree
If you need to take a break from your studies at any time, there is no problem, as the credits you earn never expire.


Major projects can include books, articles or other written works you have completed or have in progress
Email APEC your transcript information about prior graduate work or major projects you have completed or have in progress, your Curriculum Vitae, awards and any supporting information to be used for Credit transfer. APEC will advise how many credit transfers you can receive. You can also earn credits from your work and life experiences by writing one or more autobiographical papers about what you have done and what you have learned as a result.

Application
There is no cost to apply. No entrance exams are required. No IELTS or TOEFL exams are required for admission. Whether or not your primary language is English, our Writing Lab will help you to improve your research and writing skills.


Choosing Your Courses
There are no required courses for your program. You may choose from our Practical Courses on Leadership and Research Courses, or design your own Custom Courses.

You do not have to plan your entire program before starting your first course. You can simply start on one or more courses of your choice. If you need help in planning your program and choosing your courses your supervisor will help you plan and implement your program and work with you on your course.

Working With Your Faculty Supervisor Advisor and Editor
For all your courses you have a supervisor and editor appointed with whom you will normally exchange emails. Your advisors may ask you to call them to discuss your course or program.


Course learning Journal
Each of your courses will take in research and learning activities. You will record your time invested, research studies in your Course Learning Journal (journal) form for each course. Your journal can be a Word document or online blog using a free service like www.blogger.com.

On your journal, Professor Mitchell has said t he journal serves several purposes by telling when you worked on the course and what work you were doing. Your supervisor will encourage you to take notes on what you thought was important that you learned during your research and in that way you can have a permanent set of notes to help you in the future.


Profile
At the commencement of your program you will submit a short profile discussing people and dealings that have influenced you, and identifying personal and professional weakness you want to eliminate and strengths that you want to strengthen. Also, discussed will be the knowledge and skills you have obtained from work experience, self-study, or previous academic or non-academic courses. Finally, you will mention your major goals and why you chose APEC University to help you attain these.

Work-Based-Learning
You have the option to integrate your program with your job through work-based learning, which means your coursework will provide immediate benefits to you and your employer.

In order to obtain the support of your employer tell them that APEC University program can include work-based learning, though integrating your degree program with opportunities, resources and experience at your workplace.

Also tell them about how the "Work-Funded-Tuition" contract between you, your employer and APEC University can ensure that much of the learning you do is directly associated with your job and the strategic goals and needs of your organization.

Your organization will be encouraged to pay for your program when they understand that by doing a work-based degree program, you are more likely to remain employed with your organization after you finish your program and become a more motivated, self-managed, innovative employee.


Capstone Paper
The final assignment before your graduation will be your capstone paper to the dean of Studies. An 8000-word paper discussing what you learned in your courses; how your course assisted you, the results of your APEC program.


Graduation
On completion of your program APEC will send you an APEC University official document (In the USA – a Diploma), suitable for framing, and indicating you have earned the degree of either Doctor of Business Administration degree, Doctor of Philosophy degree, or Bachelor’s degree that you earned.

Transcripts will be on sent any time you request them to you or to others you authorise. Potential employers that you authorise may verify your degree by phone, mail, fax, or email.


Academic Scholarships

Minder: a Bachelor's degree is not needed for an online MBA or Master's degree. No GMAT, GRE, IELTS or TOEFL test scores are required for admission.
