Understating your Success EQ

Success EQ is the ability to recognise and understand emotions in one self, and in others, and act appropriate to the objective rather than be a victim of negative emotions.

In, “Emotional Intelligence”, author Daniel Goleman offers insight into why some people, with high IQ’s flounder while others with relatively modest IQ’s flourish. The author’s scientific theory is each of us has an emotional quotient (EQ) that is a measure of our ability to control our impulses, put off self-rewards, be self-aware, be persistent, and be able positively interact with other people.

Further, Albert Ellis’ ABC rational-emotive model of behaviour says it is our beliefs about events, and not the events that generates our reactions and feelings.
